Pre Operative Instructions
Those patients who have to report for surgery are advised to come at the given time after
having light breakfast. There is no need to come empty stomach until specifically advised. All
children and patients to be operated under general anaesthesia have to report on an empty
stomach.
On reporting the patients are admitted and given a room as per their requirement. Suitable
drops are put in their eyes by the paramedical staff to get the eye ready for the surgery. The
eyelashes are trimmed and the area around the eye is disinfected with use of suitable
solution.
All patients are advised to carry the medical reports, laboratory reports and X-Rays with
them when they report for surgery.
